The PP-3915159 CN Cummins Marine Transmission / Gear Oil Cooler is a heavy-duty copper-nickel shell-and-tube oil cooler designed for Cummins QSB and QSC marine diesel engines fitted with separate marine gearbox oil cooling circuits.
This cooler removes excess heat from marine transmission oil by circulating oil through the internal tube bundle while raw seawater flows through the surrounding shell. Proper oil temperature control is essential to maintain correct oil viscosity, protect clutch packs and bearings, and ensure reliable gear engagement under sustained load, manoeuvring, and high ambient-water conditions.
The CN (copper-nickel) construction provides superior durability and corrosion resistance compared with traditional copper-brass coolers, making this unit well suited to salt-water installations and commercial or high-hour recreational use. Units are supplied with sacrificial pencil zinc anodes to provide galvanic protection and extend service life.
Manufactured to OEM dimensional and flow specifications, the 3915159CN is a direct-fit replacement for the original Cummins 3915159 cooler.
